← The Lycian Way, stage by stage

Walk the Lycian Way with a guide, or with your bags moved

Updated: 2026-09-08

The stage pages on this site are free and will stay free. This page is for the other question people email us: can someone just organise it? Yes. A licensed agency in Kaş runs small-group guided treks on the three best sections of the trail, and puts together self-guided walks with luggage transfers and pre-booked village beds for the dates you want.

You book with the agency and pay them; nothing is paid on this site. What you get by writing to us first is a person in Kaş who has walked these stages, who will tell you which departure suits your dates and your legs, and who stays on email until you are back on the bus.

Why go through us rather than straight to the agency

Because the price is the same either way, and you get more for it. Tour pages, ours included, are written to sell. What they never say is that the Kaş five-day trek skips the Limanağzı to Boğazcık stage by road, that the Fethiye week finishes on the hardest day, or that the pensions at Üzümlü İskelesi close early in November. We say it, because we would rather you pick the right week than the wrong one.

Write to us with your dates and we reply within a day with the departure that fits, what the agency will quote, and the honest notes on the days in between. If it turns out you would be happier walking on your own with the free stage pages and a GPX, we will tell you that too.

Who runs them

Every trek on this page is operated by Tatil Sihirbazı Travel & Adventure (Kaş Kalkan Tours), a Ministry-licensed travel agency in Kaş, TÜRSAB A-13449. Guides are licensed. You book with them, pay them, and their cancellation terms apply. Ghost of Kaş takes no payment and holds no booking.

Plan this with us

Tell us your dates, how many of you there are and how far you like to walk in a day. We reply within a day with a plan and a price from a licensed local agency — guided or self-guided, luggage moved, beds booked. No payment on this site.

Or just email us: ghost@ghostofkas.com

Questions people actually ask

Who actually runs these treks?

Tatil Sihirbazı Travel & Adventure, trading as Kaş Kalkan Tours, a Ministry-licensed agency in Kaş (TÜRSAB A-13449). We are the people who wrote the stage pages; they are the people with the guides, the vans and the licence. You pay them, not us.

Is it cheaper to book directly with the agency?

No. The agency quotes the same price whether you come through us or find them on your own. Our share comes out of their side, not yours.

What is the difference between the five-day and the seven-day trek?

The walking is identical: four days on the trail plus a ruins day. The seven-day version adds an arrival night and a departure morning so you are not walking off the airport shuttle, and includes the Kekova boat and one more night in Kaş.

Can we walk on our own dates rather than a fixed departure?

Yes, as a private group for the guided treks, or on any date from April to December for the self-guided version. Tell us the dates and the number of walkers; the price depends on both.

How fit do we need to be?

The guided treks walk five to seven hours a day on stony, sometimes steep paths, with 300 to 700 metres of climbing on the hardest days. Anyone who walks regularly and is happy on rough ground will manage. The agency takes ages 12 to 70; children under 6 travel free but this is not a pushchair trail.
