Stage 24 · Route 24B (via Phaselis); 24A is the Tahtalı crossing from Beycik
Tekirova to Kuzdere via Phaselis, or over Tahtalı from Beycik

The coastal route from Tekirova reaches Phaselis in an hour, and Phaselis is worth the whole day: a Roman city on a neck of land with a harbour on each side and a paved street between them, ending in a beach where the columns run into the sand. From there the trail turns inland and climbs through forest to Kuzdere. Measured at 18.5 km and six and three-quarter hours.
The mountain alternative from Beycik, 24A, crosses under the summit of Tahtalı at 1,815 m to Yayla Kuzdere: 12.5 km measured, seven and a half hours, with no surface water at all. The cable car café near the top is the only place to refill. It is the highest point of the trail and the driest.

Ghost cities on this stage
- Phaselis — a Greek and Roman port with three harbours, an aqueduct and a paved main street running from sea to sea. Entry about €10.
- Idyros — a small ancient site in Kemer town, off the trail but ten minutes from the centre if you are passing through.

Phaselis on foot
The site has a ticket gate on the road side, around €10 for foreign visitors on the 2026 list, but the trail enters along the shore. Pay anyway; the site is maintained by the fee and the guards know the path. Give it two hours: the aqueduct at the entrance, the main street with its shops and baths, the theatre, and the south harbour beach for a swim before the climb.

Is Phaselis on the Lycian Way?
Yes, on the coastal 24B route. The trail passes through the site between Tekirova and the climb to Kuzdere.
Is there water on the Tahtalı crossing?
No surface water. The cable-car café near the summit is the only top-up. Carry at least four litres from Beycik.
Can I take the cable car instead?
The Olympos Teleferik runs from near Beycik to the summit and back. It does not follow the trail, but it removes the climb if the weather turns.
