Lycian Way day walks from Kaş

Walk a piece of the trail and sleep in your own bed: Limanağzı by boat back, Phellos from Çukurbağ, Aperlai downhill with a boat out.

Duration: Half day to full day Season: All year; best October – May

You do not need a week or a tent to walk the Lycian Way. Kaş sits on it, and three of the best stretches can be walked from town in a day: the cliff path to Limanağzı with a water taxi home, the climb to the ruins of Phellos from Çukurbağ, and the descent from Boğazcık to the drowned city of Aperlai with a boat out to Üçağız.

Each can be walked alone with our stage notes, and each is better with a licensed guide who knows the tombs and the paths. We arrange the guide, the taxi to the trailhead and the boat at the far end through a licensed local agency; you turn up at the harbour with water and shoes. Tell us which day you want and how many you are.

Questions people actually ask

Which day walk is easiest?

Kaş to Limanağzı: an hour and a half each way with one roped rock step, and a boat back in season.

Can I do them without a guide?

Yes, with the stage notes and OsmAnd. A guide is worth it for Phellos and Aperlai, where the ruins need explaining and the paths are less obvious.

Do these run in winter?

Yes. Winter is the best walking weather on this coast. The Limanağzı boats may not run, in which case you walk back.
