This is the section of the Lycian Way this site is named for. In four walking days you cross the peninsula from Kaş to Kekova through Antiphellos, Aperlai, Teimiussa and Simena, three of them roadless and one of them under the sea, sleep in a village pension or a beach bungalow every night, and finish with the Kekova boat and the tombs of Myra. A licensed guide walks with you, a van carries your bags, and the agency has already argued with the pension owners so you do not have to.

It is the trek we recommend to people who write to us with a week and no tent. The walking is honest rather than heroic: 11 to 14 km a day, one proper climb, a lot of stony coast path and a boat at the end of the best day.

## Day by day

- Day 1: Çukurbağ to Büyükçakıl over the Sleeping Giant — 11 km, +470 m, moderate. Night: Guesthouse, Büyükçakıl. Orientation with the guide, then the ridge above Kaş and the steep drop into town before the coast path to Büyükçakıl beach. - Day 2: Büyükçakıl to Üzümlü İskelesi via Limanağzı — 14 km, +180 m, moderate. Night: Bungalow, Üzümlü İskelesi. Cliff path to the Limanağzı bays, Çoban beach and Ufakdere, ending at a bungalow camp on the water. - Day 3: Boğazcık to Üçağız through Aperlai — 13 km, +380 m, easy. Night: Guesthouse, Üçağız. Transfer to Boğazcık, then down to the half-drowned city of Aperlai and along the peninsula to Üçağız. - Day 4: Kekova boat, Simena, then Gökkaya to Andriake — 14 km, +120 m, moderate. Night: Bungalow, Demre. Morning on the boat over the sunken city and up to Simena castle, then the coastal walk to the Roman harbour of Andriake below Demre. ## The agency’s booking terms

- Cancel 30 days or more before the start: full refund.
- Within 20 days: the deposit is kept.
- Within 15 days: the full tour fee is charged.
- Illness with a hospital report: refunded minus the non-refundable costs. A place can also be transferred to another person.

## What the tour page does not tell you

- Day 3 starts with a transfer: the Limanağzı to Boğazcık stage, the longest and driest on the Kaş section, is skipped by road. If walking every metre matters to you, say so and we will ask about a private variant.
- Üzümlü İskelesi is a bungalow camp on the water, not a hotel. It is the best night of the trip in October; by late November it may be closed and the agency substitutes a pension, which we will tell you before you book.
- The departure shuttle on day 5 goes to whichever airport your flight leaves from. Antalya is about two and a half hours from Demre, Dalaman close to four.

## Questions people actually ask

### Do we sleep in Kaş at all?

On the five-day version, no; you walk out of Kaş on day 1. Book a night in Kaş before you start; the seven-day version includes it.

### Is the Kekova boat included?

Yes, the day 4 boat over the sunken city and to Simena is part of the trek. Simena castle entry is included in the fees.

### What if I am walking alone?

You join the group; a single-room supplement applies if you want your own room. Tell us and we will get the figure from the agency with the quote.
