Bezirgan to Gökçeören: the quiet plateau stage

The emptiest stage on the western half of the trail. Two measured legs, Bezirgan to Sarıbelen 4.3 km and Sarıbelen to Gökçeören 12 km, make a moderate day of ridge and plateau with almost nobody on it. The spring at Sarıbelen is the reliable water source of the inland route and worth planning the day around.
Gökçeören has one place to sleep, a family apart that has hosted walkers for years. Confirm it is open before you commit to the stage, because the alternative is a taxi to Kaş.

A Kaş-based alternative
Because Gökçeören and Çukurbağ are both a short taxi ride from Kaş, the inland stages work well as day walks from a Kaş base: taxi up in the morning, walk, taxi or bus back for dinner by the harbour. That removes the bed problem entirely and is how we usually suggest people see Phellos. Ask us and we will put the taxis and a guide together.

Is there water between Bezirgan and Gökçeören?
The spring at Sarıbelen, about a third of the way, runs all year. Fill there for the rest of the day.
Is Gökçeören on a bus route?
No. Taxi from Kaş or Kalkan is the practical way in and out.
